I couldn't agree more! We lose a person with character issues and gain an opportunity for a hopefully better athlete and person.

That said, I wish Dorsey luck at Lamar, and hope his ex turned out all right.

Interesting that Sherman did not want him back after what he did. Sherman has high standards which I do support. I just wish these kids would wake up and take out their anger on the field blocking and tackling. Hitting your girl friend is a cowardly act.

Just Chavis and now Dorsey, right?

Lamar will suck for the first couple of years just like all new programs. Some of their guys haven't played in a game in 2 years.

And, IMO, they won't be a contender in the Southland Conference for almost a decade.

Lamar's head coach Woodard is a sip. He's desperate for talent as the program is finally being resurrected after 21 years, so I don't blame him for giving Dorsey a chance. Hopefully the kid will mature and learn how to control his anger. NEVER hit, strike, or shove a woman, especially when you are a 300 lb. male athlete. Look out Cardinal women!

While it's apparent he hasn't always possessed impeccable judgment, I'd imagine no one in their right mind would leave a chance to play for A&M for Lamar. I could be wrong though.
