That analyzed how we use our bunch formation and the problems it causes for the defense? It was brought up right around the beginning of the season (I think after the first game) but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Saw a high school team unveil the look (first time all year they've been in it) in a state semifinal game last week and want to read up on the strategic advantages of it again before the state finals tomorrow.

Was that a playoff game against Carthage? Was listening on the radio and La Grange pulled out a strange formation. It worked for a few plays then was pretty much shut down once the coaches were able to give the kids some direction on how to adjust.

Just went over the article that was posted earlier. This is not the same formation that was described on the radio for the Carthage game. They split out OL's and receivers. Leaving only 3 OL's to protect the QB.

I love to run sweeps out of that set pulling my playside tackle and my inside WR cracking down on the DE or blitzing OLB.

I think he was referring to Longview, a team that usually runs out of the I formation but lined up in that bunch set four or five times against Denton Guyer with decent success. Probably just another look to give Lake Travis something else to prepare for.

Sounds similar to something we used to see a lot more of called the "pole cat" formation.
