I got this idea from another thread that got shut down for a different topic.
There was a "debate" regarding the '95 game against tu when they tried to rush Kyle field.
Some thought the corps should have not interfered?
Well, I was at that game and the PA announcer repeatably said that nobody should enter the field after the game and as soon as it was over their fans tried running onto the field.
Everybody stayed in the stand watching as corps members tackled tu fans NOWHERE close to the goalposts! After defending themselves and subdueing the tu fan, the corps would turn them over to UPD or CSPD and go for another one. It was an amazing site as we saw the keepers of the spirit do their job.
My question is - why do some of you feel this gives A&M a bad reputation? They were warned. This is our field. We protected our turf (no pun intended).
I have no doubt we will do the same this year, if need be.
