Great post. The only thing my kids have not seen in person is the beloved Bonfire!!

I have loved A&M basically my entire life. The traditions are amazing, and I am a current student doing everything I can to continue it. I've helped "convert" many many people that used to be tu fans, just by showing them around and explaining the amazing traditions. Texas A&M is one of a kind and I'm proud to be part of it.

Anyone know if there is a list of names of the Marines who flew over? I think I might have gone to high school with one of them and I just wanted to check. I think I heard the guy's name when the list was read on the radio broadcast.

I'm pretty sure there never were! Thank God every day that you're a Texas Aggie.

Prepyag03 - thank you for your service. I know the Band will be at Jerryworld and I think it might be a Corps trip. Midnight yell is Friday night at the baseball Ballpark. My son is in the Band - I'd be happy to take you and your son to meet them, although if it is a Corps trip would understand you following your unit around.

Awesome Story, Good Bull !

I had the privelege of attending the game with my 16 yr old who just recently spent a week in Texas Chidrens Hospital for a week. Some very nice Ags that were invited to the president's box asked if we'd like to go and he said "C'Mon Dad, you've got to see a game in Kyle up close" so we accepted. It was great to see him healthy and hollerin' for the Ags after all he's been thru fighting a chronic condition.

...He's been before but it was my first game ever and I'm forty-sumpin...

It was all I knew it would be, I've been following the Ags since 84 but had never had the chance to go.....

It won't be my last I hope !

It was a great evening...

Thanks Ags !

Aggieswin90 - Student Bonfire burns 11/24/09. I agree it's not the same as on campus, but the kids working on it work really, really hard to keep the tradition burning.

We were lucky - we took our boys to Bonfire every home tu game when they were growing up. We met our youngest and some of his buddies for lunch Sunday when they got back from cut and talked some about those days. When our son was 4, we lost him at bonfire - he just wandered off. When the band was coming in, he walked to where he could see better to see the Band coming in - he's a second year BQ today.

If you can get to the student bonfire - it is worth the trip.

thanks all for the kind words.

I think I can sum it up like this.

Any stadium that salutes our men and women in uniform like rock stars, well, that's just awesome and that is where my kids will be.

It never really donned on me until now, just how much a difference A&M can make it the shaping of young minds. This is not a political statement, I just simply want my boys to grow up loving this great Republic and honoring the men and women who have sacrificed for it. We find that at Kyle Field.

thanks again Aggieland.
