In other news, I'm impressed every time I look at the 3rd down numbers from last evening's game. Football games are often decided on 3rd downs.

It's been attempted multiple times, but there's always Ags who don't get the message.

I hate the "left" "right" yelling drowning out the last part of the War Hymn. That didn't used to be a problem. I understand that a few years ago we wanted it to go from being just a "sway" to more of a deliberate saw action like it used to be, but it is kind of annoying with people yelling that.


And we can sing the War Hymn as many times as we want to.

I think that the "left" and "right" is more to make sure that the row is all going in the same direction rather than attempted coordination between rows to create a "saw" effect

Sounds like a New Army thing..

R****, I listen to those on my row telling me where to go, but I never listen to other rows.

It's almost all trying to get the entire row going the same way.

I'm usually on the end of a row or i'm the first to simply say in left or right in a not too loud tone, hoping that people will pass it down the line.

Used to be that even rows went right, and odd rows went left, and everyone knew this and didn't have to distinguish between the two directions. Apparently our collective intelligence has declined enough to warrant the calling of which direction to go.

Its not hard to already know which way, look at your ticket, if on an odd row = left, if on an even row = right.

If everyone would understand this, no yelling would be needed/used.

just to clarify, I hate it when everyone yells out hump it ags in the middle of the spirit, and when people drown out the last part of the war hymn.

There's a few ways to fix it, and just like uncover, we need a student leader to step up and figure it out and tell the rest of the student body.

I agree with OP, but more importantly, there should be NO WHOOP after "saw varsity's horns off" Do you here me? NO WHOOPING INVOLVED. Only after "varsity's horns are sawed off" should anyone be whooping. That always throws the line off. If anyone here doesn't believe me, listen to the band next time and see if they pause to give you any time. Better yet, ask a yell leader.

Fifteen (15): AT NO POINT IS IT ACCEPTABLE TO YELL AND/OR SCREAM AT ANOTHER FAN REGARDLESS OF THEIR TEAM ASSOCIATION.

People get mad at me for saying this but every time we sing it and people whoop, my point is proven. Not only does it throw the line off, but it throws off the swaying and people get all effed up.

If you went to the game yesterday, you know what I'm talking about.

#9 is rather ridiculous, R****, and most certainly ridiculous when compared with #7.

Y'all do realize that it was the first game/first yell practice with 7000+ fish who barely understand the mass sawing motion?

3 years ago it was blah blah blah, everyone is swaying in the same direction, so we tried the even/odd fix, except only a few got the message, everyone needs to stop whining about how new army/old army is crap, and how much a better Aggie I am than everyone else...
