Kyle Maxfield, who played football at Texas A&M from 1991 to 1994 was hired by Shallowater (10 miles NW of Lubbock)to be the new head football coach.

We won 42-7 in a game that we could have scored 60 if they had not called off the dogs.

A little bit of irony however, most folks in Shallowater are Red Raiders (like myself), and our school colors are Red / Black. That being said, my wife asked me last night after the game how many games in 2008 did it take for us to score 42 points.....total.

Being a former Aggie football player, I thought some of you may be interested.

Thanks. At least one Ag is having football success in or around Lubbock.
