This web site:

http://fightmusic.com/

offers free downloads of songs performed by college bands all over the country. Click on the Big 12 logo, then go to the A&M logo for the seven songs performed by the Aggie Band. (The short version of the Aggie War Hymn doesn’t sound to me like it was performed by the Aggie Band.)

The short War Hymn sounds like a concert band to me, btw. Do y'all have one of those?

Thanks for the heads up, though.

The short version is a MUCH older version...as in before we became a university.

College Football fan:

Yes...A&M has a symphonic band, although it is mostly made up of the better musicians in the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band.

A&M also has a jazz band.

If you want the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band music files -- go to the Fightin'Texas Aggei Band Web Site [http://www.rtis.com/reg/bcs/org/aggieband/audio.html].
Nineteen songs/marches including

There is music selection #20 also avaiable -- for those who want the haunting melody of our most valued tradition, Silver Taps is available.

The site that joneseagle listed is the best for the Aggie band. Just last week I downloaded some of the songs and burned a CD for my listening enjoyment during halftime of games this year!

You're right. The site that joneseagle listed is the best for the Aggie band. The other site is good for a quick search for songs performed by the lesser college bands (all others). The sips can go there to download versions of their favorite songs: “March of the Wronghorns”, “Texas Bite”, “The Lies of Texas”, and “Yellow Streak of Texas”.

Anyone know why the Aggie Band does not have digital media of their recordings for purchase online?

Noble Men of Kyle was also written by Haney during Col Adams time with the band.
