If you could bring ONE Aggie back on offense and defense to help this year's team, who would it be?
On Defense the obvious choice for me is Dat, for his leadership (though I like the intimidation of Q in the middle).
On offense I'll go for a stretch and say Richmond Webb, due to the fact that I think we have the "skill" positions pretty solid, but the line was a bit of a weakness, and I think an anchor like him would do it.

Sure its a fantasy question, but it is the off-season

dat, kevin smith, aaron glenn, or q. coryatt. take your pick. but with our needs i think one of the corners.

Defense: Aaron Glenn. Haven't had a truly solid, lock-down corner since.

Offense: Terrence Murphy. Could really use spirited leadership and experience there right now.

LB is the obvious choice, but we haven't had a quality secondary player in years... pick any of the following for defense: jay brooks, ray mickens, aaron glenn, kevin smith...

as for the offense.. i can't argue the need for OL & we're stacked w/solid RBs.. how about T-Murph, Robert Ferguson, McKinney 1 or 2?

You didn't mention special teams but i think the obvious choices there are Lechner, McElroy or Dante, & Tony Franklin

I don't know why everyone is putting Lechler for special teams, we have a decent if not good punter in Brantly, why not use that "pick" on a solid field goal kicker? Unless Lechler can kick field goals as well as he can punt...

Robert Ferguson- Do it all reciever.

Jason Glenn- He could pass rush and pass defend. Most underated LB is A&M history.

Offense - Martellus Bennett (the guy would be an absolute pass-catching machine for us in Sherman's West Coast system).

Defense - Ty Warren (to man the DT position opposite of Heard...no one is running up the middle on us).

To me, it's a toss up between

Coryatt or big Sam Adams on defense

Leland McElroy on offense

DEF = I'm still a big Sam Adams fan. (But a CB would be nice too!)

Sam Adams & Richmond Webb

Def = A. Glenn or Dat, tough call

Off = McElroy. Yeah we have good RBs, but no one has proven anything as a returner and we have been sorely lacking in this area for a while.

Ironically, all of these guys were before my student days when I had the pleasure of watching Keven Murray and a bona fide Wrecking Crew.
