One would hope.

probably not in the near future, but in a decade or two, maybe. I will be happy, though, if either team finishes seasons ranked in the final polls every now and then.

Nope...I can't even fathom either of those teams even just MAKING it there. And as I type this, the baseball team is about to lose their second in a row to Northern Colorado. A&M easily has the most underachieving athletic program in the country (men's sports at least). We are the very definition of mediocre and it pains me to say it.

I hope. I am not psychic nor a sports statistician so I cant make that prediction.

I do know this... TAMU has a standard of excellence, we demand it, so since we dont accept megerness as do the tards the cards are stacked more for us than against us.

It's that sort of complacency that keeps you from winning the championships. this is not something that exists at TAMU. The issue is that as much as i dislike t.u. they expect the excellence too. The difference... our since of community and loalty to our team. In some ways it holds us back because we hang on to a clear loser (fran) too long.

However, I would rather be the fan base we are and miss a championship because of our character than be a group like t.u. that will close their eyes to criminals as long as those criminals are winning them Nat'l Championships.

Gig'em Ags I think we'll get there one day. Just dont change a thing b/c in the long run we've got it mostly right.

We're not used to seeing it happen. So naturally it's easier to say no. So I am going to say YES! I think it will. But more importantly...will we be consistent winners?

I'm twenty-three now. With medical science advancing at such a rate, I'll live until maybe ninety, perhaps less. I would like to think in forty to sixty years that A&M will pull out a MNC somewhere. Statistically, it should happen, right?

Why do some of you even bother to watch Aggie Sports if it fills you with such self-loathing. I am as pissed as the next guy that the basketball team lost tonight but some of you drama queens go on suicide watch at the drop of a hat.

Let's dial back the time machine a few years and take a look at a couple of programs.

1. tu - from '85 to '93 they sucked badly with the exception of '90. I can imagine some sip sitting around wondering if they would ever get to a NC game, let alone win it, considering the sorry state of their program.

2. LSU - God they were awful at the start of the '90s. We used them as a whipping boy to start the season, something they got tired of so they quit our series. So during that time period did anyone honestly see a couple of NCs coming out of that program?

Things change within programs, within competition (see A&M's decline coinciding with OU and tu's rise). Sure, A&M may be under-achieving at this point in time but it does not mean that we will always under-achieve.
