Hi all,

Those of you who spent any time participating in the Brazos County Youth Livestock Show in the last 50 or so years would have encountered my grandfather, Lloyd Joyce. We discovered over lunch following his service today that one thing we don't have much of is proof of his auctioneering. If you have any photos or videos of Lloyd doing what he did best (talking fast and loud), please let me know. I can digitize older materials and would happily provide an email to receive these images or videos. I know the whole family would appreciate it. Thank you in advance!

I showed lambs and broilers at the Brazos County Youth Livestock Show from (approximately) 1975 - 1979. I remember definitely auctioneer Lloyd Joice, as he successfully encouraged local businessmen to buy my projects.

Unfortunately, I don't have any photos or videos of your grandfather [nobody had iPhones like they do now]. Maybe KBTX or The Eagle has something in their archives.

How are you related to Jimmy Joyce? Father or Uncle?

He's my step-uncle on paper!

I went to high school and A&M with your step uncle, and he was one of my groomsmen as well. An absolutely terrific guy and the Joyce's are a wonderful family!
