I would lobby foreign governments to help the Taiping rebellion.
This was mid 19th century, and it was a Christian monarchical rebellion that tried to topple the Chinese government.
Just try and imagine a world where China was Christian and how much more aligned they might be with the west.

By the way, 20 million died in that war. China's wars have killed over 100 million people, mostly Chinese gojng back 1500 years or more. Imagine their population without that.

Hard to understand how the rebellion failed. It's leader was the brother of Jesus after all.

WW2...early July 1945. Roswell Field, home of the 509th Bomb Group, the only nuclear capable one on the planet at the time. Tasked to do anything and everything possible to prevent the back-tracking on what really was recovered in a vehicle crash at the time.
