I was cleaning out my moms stuff and found an old program from the 1944 game. Mom did attend that other school down the road. She also had a ticket stub from 1942.

Big Jim.....were you a senior in Austin in '48 when we tied? If so, what was that like. I wasn't quite 3 months old at the time.

Yes with boots ! It was great ! Tom Landry was on defense ( not his fault - our pass bounced off another

Tsip to Wright ) when we scored the TD to tie = to a victory. Being from Austin and a family that went to Tu,

it was especially sweet .

We tried to get Monday off but our cowardly admin vetoed it .

thats right, babe went to the service after the 44 cotton bowl and didnt get back till 47 i think.
