Opposite Grant on National Geographic based on a novel set in New France during colonization. About indentured servants, looks action packed and full of intrigue. Might be good, looks like I'll record Grant for future watching.

Hope it's better than World on Fire (a low bar to exceed)

Kind of glad there is a thread on this. I'm interested as hell in this based on the marketing and can't wait for tonight

Definitely interesting, seems like a cross between the pilgrim thing NG did a couple of years ago, Black Robe and the Witch.

My wife told me yesterday the book covers three generations of families and the first season finished covering probably two months. How many seasons will this thing be?

I enjoyed what I saw but season 1 ends with a lot of cliff hangers and nothing really tied up, will this be a never-ending series?

So this says there may not be a second season even though season 1 was a success. Reading this makes me think they covered everything in the novel, is that how it ends with nothing tied up and the town about to be attacked, that would be contrary to what my wife heard?:

If there is no season 2, I will feel like I got robbed watching this even though the journey was fine.
