I'm always looking for a good history book recommendation....thought it would be nice to see what some other people were reading.
How it works.....The person before you can ask for a book suggestion based on a topic they're interested in.
You make your suggestion, any feedback you'd like to include.
Then make a request for your own suggestion. So answer the prior poster, make your own request, next poster repeats.
My first suggestions...."The Crusades" by Thomas Asbridge. It's one of my favorite books. It's 804 pages, but seemed like a quick read. So much of history seems like it "out bizarres" reality, but that happened again and again with what went on during this time period.
Any suggestions for a book on naval piracy?
