I am looking for a book recommendation that will cover the eight major crusades plus any 'minor' expeditions.

Something that will provide a good 'high level' overview of that approximately 200 year period.

I've been working on Asbridge's "The Crusades" on and off for a bit now. I like his writing style and it's been pretty good. I've been told Runciman's 3 volume set is considered to be one of the best, but I haven't gone that far yet.

Here is one that I haven't read... but have been meaning to:
The Crusades: The Authoritative History of the War for the Holy Land

I did read Asbridge's book on the First Crusade & it was wonderful.
