It's good but I think he could cut a little of the context.

I like the extra context and content. But I'm also a 32 year old who didn't grow up with an understanding of what was going on during that time, and just how precarious the situation was. They were already tearing down the Berlin Wall by the time I was learning how to pee in a toilet.

I like the one off episodes maybe better than the series.

Agreed. I started listening to HH back about 10 years ago when I stumbled across it. The show has completely changed. I have a hard time keeping up with what is an essentially a 15 hour audiobook spread across 6 months.
The earlier shows were up to an hour or so. I could listen to an entire episode driving around during work.

I appreciate the extra depth & content, but the old shows were just easier to digest. I can't imagine how much work it is to produce one of the new ones.
