Stephen F. Austin's sister. Ancestors to Governor Rick Perry?

I'm not from Texas but figured I'd read up on some Texas history since I plan on moving to Austin and serving in the National Guard

It's a common name. I'd be more likely to think she's related to George Sessions Perry.

If Perry was related to Stephen F. Austin (if she's his sister, then that would make her the daughter of Moses Austin), it would have come out politically.

Kay Bailey Hutchison made sure everyone knew that one of her ancestors signed the Texas Declaration of Independence.

Rick Perry is a fifth-generation Texan.

His great, great, great, grandmother from the paternal line, Jane Killian, moved to Mexican Texas as a nine-year old in 1832 with her parents, John and Maria Perry, from Tennessee.

Perry's great, great, great grandfather from his maternal line, Icy Abels, is a Choctaw, a Native American tribe, from Mississippi.
