I watched Merrill's Marauders last night. When they got to the train station, they were fighting in some type of concrete alleys and circles. After the battle, the movie showed the lieutenant walking across the top of those concrete structures surveying the casualties.

What in the heck was that concrete structure?

Your question made me curious. I've been trying to find out exactly where that scene was filmed to see if those structures show up on Maps. So far all I've been able to find for a location is Philippines.

Thanks. It was crazy watching them fight through those concrete blocks. People were running every direction and people from both sides kept showing up in random places.

Went to the Museum of the Pacific in Fredericksburg today. Freaking incredible! I had no idea that Merrill had a heart attack during a battle. Is the movie any good?

I liked it, but the majority of the movie seemed to deal with the difficulties of crossing a country on foot, mountains, swamps, disease, starvation, etc.

Open up google maps and search for

Shaduzup, Kachin, Myanmar

Thats the best that I could find releated to it, but theres nothing that resembles a rail yard there

I just watched the movie again after reading the posts. The credits say that the movie was filmed on location in the Philippines, which may answer the question as to why that it the only location that anyone was able to find the concrete placements on Google maps.
