Great Series. What's sad is so many HS grads today know very little about that part of US History.
In fact, I'm not sure that US History is even taught in school today.

Yes, US History is taught in Texas public schools.

8th graders take a course from the beginning through Reconstruction.

11th graders take a course from Reconstruction through contemporary events.

AP US History covers the entire history of the US.

I do agree that not many young people are familiar with our country's history, but it was probably ever thus.
