First day back in the gym in several years today. Woke up at 4:30am and almost skipped because of the cold but figured the universe was testing me so I sucked it up.
Nothing crazy. 15 minute brisk walk on the treadmill while gradually increasing the incline and then the push portion of a push/pull/leg weight program.
Pretty sore already but already feel better. It's crazy what working out can do mentally.
I've been saying I'm going to get started for a long time so it feels good to finally get off my ass and do something. I was pretty ashamed by how out of shape I've let myself get but it's my own fault. Looking forward to tomorrow already.
