Running the 1/2 Marathon at this race this Saturday 11/16.

Anyone have any experience running this race and can throw in some tips? Pretty unfamiliar with the course.

Also, does anyone plan to be out there too?

Looks like it will be pretty warm, so that's a consideration. It's pretty hilly with the worst couple of hills in the last 2-3 miles. Also be aware there's about a mile of gravel road to deal with. I did the half for the first 4 years but have done 5K ever since, which is what I'll do on Saturday.
Any specific questions?

Good to know and yes some specific!

How often are there aid stations?

Does each have water and Gatorade?

How good is the parking situation?

It's been a long while since I did the half, so my answers may not be good if things have changed. You should have gotten an email or 3 this week that I think would have the answers to all your questions, but I seem to recall aid stations every 3-4 miles, and they were well stocked. Parking situation looks is good, but since the half starts early there should be lots of close parking.

The mile 10 hill is brutal.

It's been 2-3 years since I last ran Shiner but I've run it several times over the years. Parking has never been an issue.

Great race and great after party.

Can verify the 10 mile hill being brutal. The rest of the course is pretty nice.

Couldn't have been more fun and well ran (see what I did there) with just about the whole town showing up!

I PR'd my 1/2 time so happy with that of course but man those hills are no joke…Mile 10 just about killed me
