Sanlam Cape Town Marathon and Shanghai Marathon, which are currently in the candidacy process, could join the series in as early as 2026 and 2027 respectively should they pass two years of assessments.

Finally am about to get my 5th in London in April. I'm not super opposed to adding a 7th. In fact, I have been hoarding CC points just for a trip to Australia. But, I honestly don't have an urge to run in Cape Town or go to China.

I just saw that. I ran NYC today and saw several six star finishers and I wonder what they are thinking about that right now? I think it's cool and Sydney is probably a great addition just strange seeing 6 star finishers a couple hours ago and then seeing that announced on the same day.

Same here re: NYC today (phenomenal weather, great race). Felt bad for the people picking up their 6 star at the finish line. How deflating

I have been to South Africa twice and would like to use the race to go somewhere new. Also, the crime makes me wary.
