First retina detach and tear was
Left eye with surgery in Feb then last Friday surgery on right eye.

Both scleral buckles and this right eye had the gas bubble. Being head down for 6 days was difficult and hard on the back.

Doc says healing well…still can't see due to gas. Two months prior I had cataract toric lens pit in.

2024 has not been kind to my vision.

My wife had a retina tear. They fixed it with laser. Been about 6 years ago.

Best to you. Retina in my legt eye detached once; major surgery followed. Retina in my right eye detached three times; major surgery followed each time. Doc said cause was a congenital weakness. Right eye was eventually removed. Warning to the uninformed: There is no pain-warning when a retina detaches.
