Woke up earlier this week with pain on the radial side of my right wrist. Pain increases with ulnar deviation. My live in OT (aka wife) says it is probably de quervain's. Anyone else experience this? Hoping it is just a mild strain and nothing potentially chronic.

I have occasional painful flare ups after surgery on the side on my right wrist years ago.

Tried this weird little brace on a whim and found that it worked pretty well for me.

Stop beating off so much or switch hands. This is medical advice.

I know she's a woman, but she may actually be right.

I dealt with de quervain's in 2019/2020. Most of my pain was actually closer to the thumb, a little into the wrist.

I got a steroid injection and also started wearing a specific brace that basically was a wrist brace that also limited the movement of the thumb.

Not de quervains after all. Did some stabilization exercises and grips strengthening and it has gone away.

And, bigtruckguy - she's usually right. Just missed this one.
