Anybody dealt with this before? Maybe the most annoying injury i've had. Symptoms just started a few days ago

Currently suffering from golfers elbow. It's been bothering me for a couple months, but I thought I could push through it. I ended up taking a three week break from working out due to the storm and vacation, but it didn't get any better with rest.

After one week of Airrosti rehab, stretches, and a lacrosse ball massages it is feeling way better.

I've dealt with this a few times over the years. Last time was about 18 months ago and it got really bad and lasted for many months. I spent probably $1k on Airrosti with no luck.

I finally alleviated it quickly by using a Therabar to do the "Tyler Twist". I know a few others have had similar success they've posted about here.

Two things helped when I had tennis elbow … one was a band that had a little round knob that I could twist to really increase the pressure on my forearm - purchased at Walmart. The second - and the real cure - was I was standing too close to the ball on my forehand. Once I stepped back I was cured - truly was nearly an instant fix for me. Good luck - tennis elbow is miserable!

This is the way, I use the blue bar. The reverse Tyler Twist works for golfers elbow. I do it a couple times a week for maintenance.

The tennis elbow in my right arm is mostly gone, hung around for over a year and basically made me eliminate pullups from any workout.

The golfers elbow in my left arm still flares up when lifting a lot. Very annoying injuries both of them.

I think mine took about 6 months to finally heal. It sucks. Sorry you're dealing with it. As others have already mentioned, the theraband exercises helped and the forearm brace helped.

Practice your footwork so you hit the ball out in front of your body not on the side.

I have in the past. Both tennis side and golfers side.

Had decent luck with this brace.

Had it in one elbow, it went away after a month or so. Then it showed up in the other elbow. Lasted too long, tried everything. Probably not a popular opinion but finally went to the doc and got an injection. Pain was immediately gone, no issues since.

I've also been dealing with it for two months. I will give this a shot. Thank you.

Definitely worth a shot. I ordered 3 different "resistance level" bars before finding the right one. I'd recommend starting with the lightest (red) one.

I'm a pretty strong guy so I thought for sure I should go heavy but the blue and green were just too painful with my injury. The red (I think… I'll check when I get home) did the trick just fine. I sent the others back to Amazon right away and got a refund and just kept the red.

Good luck!

Is this the Therabar some of you are recommending?

That's what we give to patients for their home treatment.

Yes, that's it. I must've gone with green. I couldn't remember the color, but it was definitely the lighter resistance one.

I've had Golfer's elbow a couple times. Rest rarely makes it better. Honestly, rehab is the key. A week or two of rest might be ok just to stop things from getting worse. But to truly get it to go away, find the activities that make it worse and find ways to modify them. For me I had to avoid pullups and bench press (Golfer's elbow). But, I could do machine bench, and eventually dumbbell bench with lighter weights. Pulling motions like cable rows with a certain grip attachment worked ok if Ididn't go heavy. But couldn't do lat pulldowns unless I really limited ROM.

Then for rehab, eccentric work with dumbbells really helped. I didn't have a therabar, but managed to get my hands on one a few times. I did do some formal rehab since I had access to it with an ultrasound and electrostim, but I don't think that really did much.

Good luck. It's annoying.
