I'm currently training for a Hyrox race. Every time I do a sled push I feel like I'm totally destroying the arches and cushioning in my running shoes. Any tips on how to avoid that? Or is it just an expected casualty?
Hyrox is 8 x 1k runs with exercises (such as sled push / pull) after each. All timed, so no changing shoes as you go. And if I'm running 8k I'm wearing running shoes. Thus my dilemma.Max Power said:
I wouldn't do sled pushes in a running shoe. Get a zero drop shoe for that kind of activity. You'll feel a lot more stable as well.
Ah, that is a bit of a conundrum.wcb said:Hyrox is 8 x 1k runs with exercises (such as sled push / pull) after each. All timed, so no changing shoes as you go. And if I'm running 8k I'm wearing running shoes. Thus my dilemma.Max Power said:

Lol going from a 10mm drop to a 0 drop is a recipe for an injury, especially how old the OP is (he is around my age so I am allowed to say that).Max Power said:
