Have access to discounts from the following brands:

-State Bicycle Co
-Marin
-Head
-Royce
-Diamondback

Any of these decent brands? Would mostly use the bike to commute to/from work (15 mi).

Of those, I would be looking at Marin or Diamondback. I had an entry level steel Marin with a carbon fork that I bought used and it was a great bike that I rode in the MS150 and other longer rides for several years before upgrading.. For a 15 mile commute, you don't need to look too high up the ladder unless you eventually have goals beyond that for longer rides, triathlons, etc. I would be looking more for features like attachment points for carrying racks.

Marin would be my choice of those.

Yep. If I were looking for a commuter bike from them, their Lombard (if you want a drop bar) or Presidio (if you want a flat bar) would fit the bill nicely.

I have a Marin mountain bike and it was good quality. Never been on one of their road bikes.

If you can get the right size for you Diamondback is a pretty decent bike and the one I would go with

The Presidio 3 with the belt drive and internal gear hub is a great deal, even without a discount.
