I have movers coming next weekend and was wondering if anyone had any experience moving a Peloton Bike+? It's quite heavy and have read to take extra care with the screen & to not take that off. Not sure I trust movers to operate with enough care. Anyone moved one before and have any tips/suggestions?

When we got our Tread, they told us they would move it for us, I think twice. I don't know if this is still the case though.

I moved one. Not sure what you are talking about regarding the screen, it is ridiculously easy to separate the screen from the frame (it's one bolt).

If you take off the screen, lower legs, and handle bar it is much easier to move and put in the back of a SUV for transport.

I helped move one for a family friend a couple of months ago, but I am not sure if it was a Bike or a Bike+. We found a video online to help know how to break it down, and we did end up taking the screen off so that it wouldn't get busted up in the move. It was definitely heavy but was doable with a couple of guys and some Aggie physics.

Those same folks also have a Tread, which we had even more trouble with. It turns out that the people who installed it did some things incorrectly, though I don't recall exactly what they were, that weren't found out until the attempt was made to break it down to move. Peloton ended up giving them a new Tread at the new address and coming to get the old one due to installation issues.

Anyway, prior to figuring all that out, Peloton quoted them $175 to break the Tread down and $175 to put it back together, but they would not physically move it. I am not surprised by the fact that Peloton has no interest being in the moving business, but I find it pretty crazy that they would charge someone $350 and not actually move it a reasonable (subjective) distance.

I'll have to look into it again but, IIRC, it was something along the lines that the Bike+ screen was more involved and more difficult to put back together? More wires dues to the capability of it syncing to your watch or something like that? But I'll do some more research on that front. It would definitely be easier to move without worrying about the screen.

I also find it strange that they do not offer a moving service for their products. The Peloton website says to use a moving company that will insure the bike for you in case of damages. Basically once they deliver to you, they wash their hands of everything and it's up to you with very little help in terms of support from Peloton.

I don't really find it strange they won't move their products...they aren't a moving company....Whole different area of demand planning, etc. they don't want to be involved in.

Also found the bolded to not be true....one of our pedals started an almost knocking like noise. We took a video and emailed it to their service department. They ordered a new part and when it arrived scheduled a tech to come out and install it. When he came and did the repair he noticed our screen was a little wonky (not level). We noticed but didn't effect the usability at all so never cared. He ordered a new one and came back and replaced it as well.

I do agree that $350 to just take apart and put together, but not move something is kind of crazy. But I also don't have a tread and have no idea how involved it is.

That's awesome. Our handle bars are wobbly but, similar to you, doesn't affect the usability of it. More annoying than anything. L

This is how I moved mine myself when I bought it used from someone. It's very easy to do yourself. It fit in our Lexus RX350 with the seats folded down.

Just moved a Bike (not Bike+) and took the screen off for the move. It is 1 bolt and 2 cords to unplug. Doubt it is much more on the Bike+.

The tread is the only thing that is a pain to move...have the tread+ and have moved it twice...luckily no issues

I've moved the regular bike with no issues, just removed the screen to be safe. It didn't even seem overly heavy, maybe the plus is much heavier?

I paid a company to move the Tread+ for me, because I was too afraid of messing up disassembly/assembly. They just basically split it in half where the arms connect to the base and moved it in two pieces.

Moving it from room to room in my house was a pain because the thing weighs 455 pounds. Even with the wheels on the bottom, it took all my strength to roll it.

Ended up following this video and moved the screen myself. Movers moved the bike itself. Put it back together at the new house easily enough. This seemed like a daunting proposition at the start bc I didn't want to mess up an expensive bike but it was pretty straightforward. Thank you all for the tips and help
