Friend of mine is a Cop in Washington DC, told me to start carrying Narcan in my truck.

Accidental ODs happen all the time and not by the people that you think. It's not all, "stoners" and homeless people. Little kids and senior citizens can accidentally get hit by fentanyl as well.

It's rather frightening. One psychopath could end trick or treating or buffets or innumerable other social eating/drinking occasions as we know it with Fentanyl.

is that really any different than what a person could do with strychnine or a host of other poisons (that are easier to obtain that fentanyl)?

Nope. Just the newest thing to scare people with. Drug dealers and drug users don't typically waste their drugs. Every year on Halloween, I roll my eyes at all the, "omg, people are putting drugs in candy!" It's all a myth.

Could someone do it? Sure. Is it likely? No. Way more likely to be killed some psycho in a mass shooting at that buffet.

Not to mention most of the videos online of "fentanyl poisoning" are likely psychogenic. You don't pass out from touching it, or being in the near vicinity of it. And then you don't wake up within 2 seconds of getting narcan up the nose. Even giving it IV, usually takes 20-30 seconds before you start seeing people more arousable.

I don't know, someone killed or almost killed several people with it at a concert down in Houston a couple years ago. Quick jabs with a syringe in the crowd. Yeah, other poisons can do the same but don't seem to be so easy to come by and potentially use like this. It's good that there is a quick acting remedy.

Guessing you are referring to this? If so, it didn't happen.
