Dealing with an elderly Father that is not doing well but still on his own. Want to get one of these type of devices for him. Google search was a bit disappointing as they all seem set up to get you in a phone call to sell you crap (upsell seniors perhaps?)

Not trying to be cheap, but don't want to over pay ridiculously and with all that is going on have little patience for sorting through a bunch of sales tactics.

Anyone gone through this already that can give me some recs and help save my sanity?

I got my mom a smart watch and set up the fall detection. $10 a month added to my cell plan and she can't claim she didn't have her cell phone on her, cheap insurance and she loves it.

We defaulted to Alexa - got my mom one for every room and programmed it to call different folks.

Interesting technology usage.

Went with the bay alarm rec. Will see how it goes. Also activated an old phone for him to leave by his bed, since he sometimes forgets to take his main phone to bed.

Bought mom and Apple Watch that detects falls and sends me alerts even for her AFib.

Absolute - Any feedback on bay alarm?

Went through this with my mother in law a few months ago. We ended up with a MG mini. It's about $40 a month, but we like that it can be worn 24/7. Don't have the fall notification added because everything I read suggested it isn't very accurate or timely.
