My son's soccer team is headed to Utah to play a couple of matches this weekend. We live at about 1000' ASL, and SLC is about 4300'. Is the elevation difference a factor for 16 year olds? And if so, do those "oxygen in a can" things help?
Someone talked about the science behind this during he Colorado game. I forget the details but essentially there was no difference. Maybe for kids that aren't is as good as shape?
Unless you plan on giving him more hemoglobin and a lower resting heart rate, giving him more oxygen won't do anything except oxidize his DNA a bit faster.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough
