Foot injury (Peloton?)

I'm an avid Peloton user and have never had any issues. I recently woke up and could barely walk. I was fine when I went to bed. I have shooting pain in my arch that runs up into the ankle and inside of the lower leg. I can't feel much if any discomfort when I have no weight on it but as soon as I put weight on it, the pain shoots through the arch and up the leg again. The only activity I can think to trace it back to is the bike but as I said I've never had an issue and felt fine going to bed. Just curious if anyone had any thoughts or has felt a similar pain?

Sounds like plantar fasciitis. Might try getting some insoles (never tried in a cycling shoe but I'm sure if would help if you have high arches or flat feet). Also getting tennis shoes recommended for the problem, Brooks or Hoka's. If you wear dress shoes all day, wearing a rubuck or rubber sole might help too.

What kind of shoes are you riding with? Peleton brand or other cycling shoes? Or running shoes with toe clips? What kind of ride did you do last? Was it a heavy resistance ride with a lot of time out of the saddle? How recently did you do a ride before the pain started?

peloton brand. Yes on the heavy resistance ride but nothing out of my normal routine. Rode one evening, felt great. No pain. Woke up the next morning and the first step nearly took me out. After a few days off its bearable. Rode today a light ride and it's improved significantly. I feel it randomly now as opposed to every step feeling like a sniper got me that first 24 hours.
