Anyone use a spin bike at home that isn't a peleton?
I'm looking online for one, but can't really make heads or tails of any of the features vs price points.

I know I don't want junk. But 300-500 new is probably my budget here. Willing to buy used but everything used I've seen isn't discounted enough compared to new.

Buy used.... you can get a good spin studio bike on Marketplace or craigslist. Like a Spinning...

I would want one with a power meter and ANT+ or Bluetooth connection.

We bought a Schwinn IC4 back in April and it's finally being delivered tomorrow. I'll post a review of it but everything I've heard and researched, this is really close to the Peloton and about 40% of the cost (at least when we pulled the trigger).

We bought the Bowflex C6 (identical to Schwinn IC4) and have really enjoyed it. Bowflex offers a military discount too.

Another vote for the schwinn ic4 (it's the same as the bowflex). It was $800. I got it on amazon. there's a fb group and people will post when it's available on there because it goes fast.

If you don't want to spend that much I have a few friends with the Sunny bike that's also on amazon.

Thanks y'all for the feedback! I was originally thinking of buying a cheap $300 new bike on amazon, but those 1 star reviews revealed the truth- they were garbage waiting to break on you.

StudioCycles on youtube has a great series on how to separate the wheat from the chaff on the used, commercial level bikes. I originally had my eye on a used Lemond, but StudioCycle's reviews on it said to avoid that specific model because the bearings become misaligned if ever laid on its side. In the middle of his ranting about Lemond's he mentioned to look at Star Trac Spinners in the $400-$600 range.

Found a person on craiglist who was selling an older Star Trac Spinner. Runs great. Got it for $400. So it wasn't a screaming steal, but it was definitely a good price to pay when their is a huge market demand for spin bikes.

Followed your advice and it worked out great. The older commercial bikes are still rock solid.

Didn't buy one with any tech, might invest in an aftermarket kit.
