Is there a Treadmill Megathread somewhere in this forum?
Never thought I'd be buying one. I used to know a lot of people growing up that had them and they ended up used for a week and then became a laundry table...but here we are.
My wife and I run usually run 15-35 miles a week and since gyms are kind of sketch right now, running outside sucks ass. Even at 5am the humidity is awful. We can usually only endure 4-5 miles at a time max, but we really miss getting in those long runs in on the weekend and going 8-10 to build up some mileage. My wife was interested in being able to run a half marathon every quarter, even during summer. It would also be nice to get a quick 5k in between meetings if we are pinched for time that day since we are both wfh.
Any recommendations on a brand/model?
Also, we will probably be putting this thing upstairs in our game room or the landing outside of it that has a pony wall that opens to the living room below it....how is the noise on these things? can we simulate it by having myself run around the room a few times while my wife sits downstairs, or does running on actual treadmill increase the volume that I can expect to hear downstairs?
Thanks in advance.
