I get that his is a popular answer for for the average joe who hits the treadmill or pounds the pavement a few times a week to burn some extra calories. But you're a pretty serious marathoner; there's got to be a little more to it.
I can think of a few others but hard to summarize into 1 word. I run to stay fit (weighed 235 lbs in college and don't want to get back there), spend time with friends, and continually push myself to new PRs.
