I just learned of this yesterday, so I think I should share in case there are others who have it available to them and are not aware. Rally (wellness and activity incentive program through UHC medical coverage) allows you to accumulate points toward a 35% discount on Garmin watches. The number of points vary based on the level of the Garmin product, but they are pretty reasonable relative to the discount received.

I think that most national UHC plans have Rally as a rider, but there may be some variability by employer. If you have UHC, and particularly if you have Rally, it is definitely worth looking into.

I wasn't in the market for a new watch and am currently trying to stay out of the market for a new one. Knowing I could get 35% off of an upgrade is not helping that cause.

Along those same lines, if you have Blue Cross Blue Shield, take advantage of their Well on Target reward points. You get points for going to the gym (they also have a discount gym membership program), logging athletic activities on Garmin/Strava and various other things. I just got Bose headphones free (~$300 cost) with about a year and a half worth of points.

I have the discount gym membership program, but it won't let me sign up for the blue rewards. I guess I don't have it with my plan.

I didn't think I had it either but it was through the "Well on Target" link/program from the BCBS website.

Big shout out for this post. I don't have this program but your post jogged my memory that our company uses Virgin Pulse as something similar to this. I forgot about it and just logged on. Apparently I have $275 earned to spend!

They have some decent Garmins at a discount. For example:
- Fenix 5 (Slate Grey) for $469.99
- Vivoactive 3 for $212.49

My Fenix 3's GPS stopped working, so maybe if they had the 935 I would pull the trigger. But I'll probably just end up RMAing my Fenix 3.

However looks like I can also use the $275 to get a gift card or even just straight cash homey!

I was already looking at a new trainer since REI is having their annual 20% off sale.

Me thinks I might pull the trigger on the Wahoo Kickr Snap to replace my VERY old CycleOps Fluid that seemed old when I got it used 5+ years ago

I'm about to switch jobs and looks like they use Cigna health plans. Yall know if they provide any discounts on gym memberships or gear?

It's really just going to depend on what your employer offers. I am sure that Cigna has preferred wellness providers (I don't know who they are but probably should), but your employer may use a separate provider independent of Cigna. Also, there are a number of employers that give their wellness credits by way of medical premium reduction, dollars to HSA, etc. and may not do the discounts or gift cards.

Any idea how many points/coins you need to get a discount on something like a 935? Still navigating my way through the site.

1000 points for 35% off the Forerunner series, including the 935. 2000 points for 35% off the Fenix series.
