I am building a home gym and have narrowed down to these two. The reviews are great for ironmaster partially because they look and feel like regular dumbbells and can also expand to 125lns each. Anybody have either? Ironmaster also is cheaper and comes with a stand.

I talked myself out of any of the combo dumbells that you can dial in your weight. I just searched on Craiglist for a while and found a deal on rubber coated hex dumbells. I know they take up more space, but my wife can work out at the same time and we aren't fighting over the same ones. I also broke one of my brothers using at as a weight to hold down a basketball goal. Sucks if you break one and are out of ALL your dumbells because of it.

I see what you are saying, but I don't want a set of dumbbells ranging from 5lbs to 130lbs. What brand dumbbell was it that broke?

Not positive on the brand he had. they were either the reebok ones or the gold's gym ones.
