I have a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer with the factory stereo and am looking to add Bluetooth/Apple CarPlay. I've also thought about adding a backup camera while I'm at it. Anybody have recommendations on a good head unit and a place to get it installed? I'm in the Katy/Houston area. I'm also open to something more affordable that I could just plug in or mount without having to replace the factory stereo or mess with a bunch of wiring.
Just trying to figure out the best bang for my buck and what options are worth looking into. Appreciate any recommendations!

Did your trailblazer come with factor navigation screen? Bose audio?

Something like this from Amazon or Walmart is probably the easiest option. I did something similar for my 2008 F150, and it worked fine. I ran the backup camera wire through the floor grommet, along the frame rail, and mounted at the license plate.

It is essentially a 7" tablet from china. Definitely nothing fancy, but it gets the job done and gives you functionality. You'll have to deal with some inevitable glitchiness or occasional connection issues, but you kind of get what you pay for here. You could always pay 2-3x for a brand like Sony, Pioneer, which mostly offer wired Carplay/Android Auto - just make sure you also get the mounting kit and harness adapter if it doesn't include it.

DO NOT get JVC. Been a PITA in my wife's Rav4.
