This is what the Ferrari electric car should have been.....

Ferrari doesn't have a connection to SpaceX who developed all those thrusters for their self landing rockets. Nobody but Tesla could have done that.

Pretty sure Elon did a massive amount of blow before this set of lies.

1 second 0-60 is around 3gs. Very few driver's can drive that and no amateur drivers can really do that. Try to breathe weighing 600 pounds laterally. You can't. Nobody makes a tire that can handle that.

So then Elon took another rail and lied even deeper...

.5 0-60 would then be around 8-10 gs. That is full on fighter pilot stuff and they can only do it with specialized breathing patterns and only for very limited times followed by a long recovery.

Everything Elon says now if just so full of crap. He lies so much.

I'd like to know what Lt. Col. John Stapp "The Fastest Man on Earth" would say about all this.

This is dumb. Tell me you don't know anything about auto racing.

Bullcrap, especially for the "long recovery". Do a long recovery in a fighter and you get shot down.

And fighter pilots pull Gs for a lot longer than 0.5 seconds.

Heck, my little girl could do 9Gs in a centrifuge without a G suit.

Oh, wait. She actually did.

Sounds like you have a bad case of EDS. Musk is nothing short of a modern day Henry Ford. He's weird, but to deny his vision and genius is just you wearing your politics on your sleeve a little too much.

You are way, way underselling Musk. Henry Ford is not in even comparable to Musk.

Musk is as real life Tony Stark as you can get.

So the EDS guy can understand what is going on….similar use of "suction" for downforce

Wow.

Last time I wanted a car so bad, I think I was 12, and it was the Dodge Viper. I've had two of those over the years.

Better start saving my shekels.

Me too. But for me it was the Trans Am Firehawk or WS-6. At my current age, if I could have a free Tesla Roadster or a Free trans am or viper, I'd take either over the Tesla. That tesla is pretty neat and all, and epicly advanced but not really doing it for me over the other two.

There is a blue one that shows up in my IG feed from time to time and it's incredible.

I still have my first Poncho (66 Lemans) from when I was 15, but there was a smokin' hot chick one grade above me in HS that had a 2002 WS6 6spd (Midnight Blue).
She let me drive it one day during study hall and I remember sliding that a** end around in 2nd gear from Green Oaks to Pioneer Parkway just enough to get her hormones excited.
I never met her father but he must have been a cool dude buying his 16 year old daughter a manual trans am.
Great times.

Electric hypercars have pretty much found the limit in terms of traditional 0-60 times. This is achievable because they are using aero systems to add grip and thrust from cold air jets. If you have thousands of pounds of thrust your tires don't have to provide all the acceleration force.

Also, depending on how quickly the thrust kicks in, it pulls the peak G force down and brings it closer to the average G force which is under 3 GS for 1.0 second 0-60). Roller coasters routinely provide 3-5 Gs of acceleration and millions of people ride them every year.

Drag racers achieve 4-5 g and that doesn't require any special ability to withstand G force. It's so short lived that it doesn't injure most adults.

There was another commercial similar to this, I think it was a TA commercial, where it did a 'run through through the intake and through the exhaust pipes or something. Just good commercials. I wanted one for a really long time. I don't know if they were huge pieces of crap or not but they sure looked and sounded nice.

I remember that! They were really solid drivers as long as they didn't get ragged out and boosted with nitrous oxide. (i.e. Fox body 5.0 Mustangs)

The Monsoon sound system was great and I never heard of anyone having trouble with the T-tops leaking. The 5.7L LS1 from 98-02 was an exceptional powerplant. Otherwise, if left uncared for, the honeycombs would deteriorate and the dash controls were prone to falling off. And the occasional power window motor might sh** the bed. Lol

As much as I liked the GTO's from 2004-2006, they just never had the gnarly demeanor that a T/A exuded.
