My delivery date just bounced from October 30 to December 4
To January 24 to March 1.
No explanation from Tesla, "it just is"

Wow, that is terrible. I suppose they are getting a buttload of orders, they shipped a record number of vehicles in Q3.

Company I've used twice charged $700 for the installation and it was $500 for the charger. Run was somewhere around 60 ft from the breaker for both. Next to the main panel would've been $300.

Mine was close to the panel and at exactly the same cost. We also got a refund or credit here from my electric company.

Mine was 160 feet and quotes ranged from $4850 to $1650. Not counting the charger. I used Gemini to make sure the wire they were using was appropriate for the distance. I ended 4/3 NMB w/ ground.

FYI the Universal charger is worth the extra $80 for the adaptor and the fact it has wiring terminals to daisy chain to a second charger for future….

I just had an electrician come by to get information to give me a quote to install a wall charger. Unfortunately the only space for a 60 amp breaker is all the way across the house so it will likely be expensive.

I want to have it installed even though I am months away from getting my YL just in case I get lucky and it comes in sooner.

My installation was $825, but the charger is next to the distribution panel in my garage. That was the low bid. The other bid I received for the same work was $1800.

Sent pictures of the main disconnect outside, distribution panel and location I preferred etc.

The electrician did a great job. Faraday Electric is one the Tesla recommended installers.
