Chevy truck maintenance about to be like:

To refill washer fluid, first locate the fluid reservoir, then pull the cab.

Invasive, nuisance species.

Will the diesel have a dipstick?

Can you imagine it costing like $225 to fill up your gas tank? Geez.

Not sure how anyone drives a diesel unless they absolutely need it for heavy towing or commercial use. $10k upcharge on the engine, then it's several dollars more per gallon at the pump. Hard to ever "break even" on the mpg savings.

It was $850 last time I filled my motorhome. That was painful.

At this point, I'm not towing enough to justify a diesel's cost. Considering a Silverado EV in the WT trim for the 12.5k towing capacity instead for the business.

Wonder if this will help emissions

I'm fortunate work pays for my gas

I've been hoping for large rebates on diesels to offset the overall costs. Just haven't seen it yet.

Yes, I think so. Ford and Cummins bumped up their displacements after Tier IV came out. Larger displacement will make the engine more efficient emissions wise at a higher power level than currently offered. I think GM hit the limits of what the 6.6L could do and remain compliant.

that's what this is about. the lower displacement allows them to reduce compression which reduces NOX but still increase HP and TQ.
