I had a thread asking about this and never really got a solid answer. So, after much teeth gnashing, trial and error and complaining to anyone who would listen, I figured it out. Of course my trusty wife just said, "Oh, yeah, I could have told you that…"

Anyhoo, garage door openers these days use 5 different rolling codes. The color of the, "Learn" button on the motor designates the code of that opener. When you program your opener to the motor, it should cycle thru the codes, but it really doesn't do it effectively or maybe not at all as was my case.

So, thru Amazon you can buy ( for 11 bucks ) a, wait for it, Programable Remote!

The directions will tell you to find the color of the Learn button and match it for your remote. The color will have a corresponding number. You hold down the Program button and click the Door Opener button the number of times for your color.

You then go back to your garage motor, push the Learn Button and push the remote opener button and Boom! Your done.

It's actually slot easier than I'm describing but I'm very happy. I'd actually rather do a brake job than program something.

PS. When the garage door was synced to the remote, I simply held the remote to my truck opener and they synched immediately.
