Xposting from the OB. Figured there'd be some mechanics on here with some ATV / 4-Wheeler experience and feedback.

Good condition, 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 Touring. 28hrs total, no notable performance issues when driven. Previous owner never did the 25hr "break in" service.



Took it to a dealership nearby and they offered a "Major ATV service special". Typical upsell on maintenance I don't need.



All I should do considering its age and lack of service is an oil change and front/rear diff oil change, right? I really just took it into them for their basic safety inspection and once over for cheap piece of mind that nothing is wrong. I don't care about "overpaying" them for the simple stuff I need for now, I won't get taken for a ride though.

I'd just pull up the owners manual and see what kind of service it recommends.

Generally speaking, I'd just make sure no fluids are low and that it can hang the front tires.

You can do all that stuff in your own driveway. Gravy. Read a manual or watch some YT. Save the cash however little. C'mon, Man.

Turns out there's a Polaris kit for $120 that covers all their recommended 25hr service items. Engine oil and filter, transmission fluid (inspection recommended, change at your discretion), front differential, air filter. In a nutshell.

Obviously, they tried to upsell everything else on their list at over $1k. There are a couple of other things Polaris calls for at two years and five years, but none of it listed on their quote. Lots of "inspect and advise" and other nonsense.
