Does anyone have any idea of the approximate wait list time for a gx550 in Houston at any of the dealerships?

Can't speak for Houston but we waited six months on the list of three dealers in DFW before we gave up. Just got a text from one asking if I was still interested at almost 9 months

FWIW - talked to Sewell in Dallas today and it's looking like 12-14 months on a Premium + or a Luxury. Said they're really only building the higher end (more expensive) trims, so lower end take longer to be built/shipped. 8-10 weeks from build start to delivery. No deposit/money down. When build starts they email asking for acceptance and that's when they start with the financial stuff. If you don't want, they just call the next guy on the list. Said if we ordered today we'd probably looking at a 28 model. Good luck!

Someone on here had success going outside of the Gulf States Toyota distribution area (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi) to find a GX550

My buddy walked into a dealer and bought one the other day.

GX 550 luxury plus. Apparently there were two for a golf thing. He walked in, not knowing and bought the 2nd one.

Not sure what the issue is...

Dealers near me have a nice supply of lightly used ones… for 10,000+ over MSRP

There's an Indy lot on 59 in SW Houston, Sharpstown area, that seems to only have GX and some LXs. Probably marked up, and I don't trust anyone on that side of Houston. Probably just from my experience at the Infiniti dealership across the freeway.

My aunt has been waiting one year exactly. She got an email saying production had been delayed due to an earthquake in Japan.

She is now moving on to something else.

I already sold my early '24 GX550 that was exactly 2 years old with 8k miles and subject to the engine recall. Dealer bought it back for $2k less than I paid new.

Wait list is shady. Someone passes on theirs and instead of calling the next person on the list, they upfit it with dealer add ons and sell it on the floor. Have zero desire to deal with them.

I was at Northside Lexus on Saturday and they had three available that day. The one we were looking at was in the showroom floor (Luxury +). Someone bought it and they rolled it out.

We drove an LX this weekend. I loved it…interior finish seems solid, drove great…seems like it's built to last. Then we drove an Escalade and the wife liked it better (coming from a Tahoe) so it was more familiar. I have to wait her out until she decides it's her idea that she likes the LX. I have a hard time buying anything with a 6.2 out of GM.

When do the new GM have the 6.6 as the standard engine for Denali, Cadillac etc. is that the 2027 model?

we got on the waitlist at westside in January and said screw it last month and got a new 4runner instead.

I prefer the fit and finish of the LX even though the Escalade is more luxurious in some ways, and definitely has more space inside. My wife didn't want a really big SUV so the LX was the right size for us. Third row if needed, only marginally larger than the GX

Man. All the defective engines….

Ordered one from Westside Lexus (Houston) in Dec and it was delivered in Aug. In Dec I was told 3 months. We ordered one with the 2nd row bench since we are a family of 5. Saw lots of them with the captains chairs so maybe that's why it took so long.
