That was an AI slop video.

I didn't realize the content of that video was Ai too. The graphics obviously were but just figured someone took the information and had Ai create the video. Didn't realize it was all based on BS

Beginning with 2027 MY, the feds are mandating that all vehicles have cameras to watch you. I'm not too worried about it because nearly all of us have cell phones, so we gave up privacy a long time ago.

I thought you were talking Ford specific camera. I did see that story. I don't know if it has one or not. There is no mention of it in the build guide but it also doesn't say that the start stop was removed. If I find out more I'll update y'all

That's a "law" that Congress passed but NHTSA hasn't actually put rules in place to make it happen. My understanding is that it wasn't enforced yet.

But not sure if Ford has them already anyway.

3.0L base, Option of 5.0L back in top two trim levels, and no auto stop/start, does that mean gas particulate filters (GPF) get introduced for 2027? That many positive things usually come with some kind of rug pull
aggieforester05

Should have introduced the 5.0L to the raptor.

Insanely expensive made worse by very limited production and dealer markups. The people want a 5.0L in a regular Raptor.

Would prefer a 5.0L Tremor but with the trailing arm and coil springs rear suspension of the Raptor

And then add your own blower for $10k!

Yes, I hada supercharged 2016 5.0L and that engine would be amazing in my Raptor. The tuned HO ecoboost has great torque, but the top end power leaves a lot to be desired compared to the blown 5.0L. $130K for a Raptor R is just bananas.

So the 3.5L is no longer available in the F150 in 2027 models? And can you still order a Lariat or KR without a Hole in the Roof?

Does the keyless entry return on the upper trim packages, specifically lariat and up?
dsvogel05

I think the sweet spot is the 5.0 tremor and then add a blower. But like you said, I wish you could get a v8 Raptor without having to go to the R.

I'm confused about the 2.7. Is it still available? I saw this on another site.

3.5 is still available. Ford just added the option of a 5.0 to the KR & platinum. The 2.7 is not available, it's been replaced with the 3.0

That might be my next truck, but I'm going to miss a lot of the Raptor goodies. A 5.0L Raptor would be the best of both worlds without the R exclusivity tax.

Thanks, I don't know how I didn't see that. It's as clear as day. Reading is tough sometimes.

Why get rid of the 2.7? The 3.0 seems like a downgrade.

Consolation of product lines. Cheaper to build one engine than two. Same architecture, built a lot like a diesel. Completely different than the 3.5L.

Seeing reports online discussing that the 3.0L is direct injection only, no port injection. Is this true?

Seems like a massive step backward if so.
