Howdy, purchased a new truck in March. Wanted to pay cash, but dealership had some kind of deal that if you financed got $12K off price. OK, $12K off is good, so financed, made the required 3 payments and paid off. How long do I have to wait to get full title?? Thanks!

I just paid off a car on the 13th of July and got title yesterday, the 27th.

I just transferred a fully paid car into another state. Its Louisiana and you never go to the DMV. There are 3rd party vendors that have access to the State DMV system. And they are much more efficient. I digress. They told me if I didn't have the title in 30 days, to call them. If it goes 60 days, have to pay for a dupicate title for $150. Its Louisiana... I get it.

Was the three payments actually required? I know dealerships tell you that so they'll get the credit from the finance company but I don't think it's required.

I've paid mine off immediately each time and nothing.
