2018 Chevrolet Silverado. I am the only owner.
CarPlay has always worked and when iPhones/chargers kept changing I finally got a MagicBox which allows wireless CarPlay through a USB powered dongle.
MagicBox was always a little finicky but now it has stopped working completely. Okay, not the end of the world. I'll just use a USB-A to USB-C cord for my phone (it's worked in the past). But now that doesn't seem to be working at all either.
I suspect it's either an iPhone upgrade or problem with the truck's infotainment system.
Things I've tried:
- restarted iPhone
- deleted the saved phone profiles in my truck's infotainment system
- deleted the truck from my iPhone's car play settings
I'm out of ideas but made an appointment at an Auto AV place to check it out. Won't do that until next Thursday though. I'm already missing my Spotify playlists, Waze, podcasts, audiobooks.
Anyone been through this or have ideas? I know, I know…first world problems.
