I had a '21 Macan GTS before trading it in for a Miata RF (mainly to daily drive manual again, partly for operating costs). The Macan was one of the best vehicles I have owned and makes a really good highway cruiser that can get you into trouble because 90mph feels like its comfort zone on the highway. Try to get the 18 way adjustable seats
For a used vehicle with 70k, make sure they have already replaced the upper control arms. The VW Group (Audi) front suspension design for this platform places higher loading on the bushings leading to premature cracking/failure of the bushing. It occurs around 50 to 60k miles, and you can feel a clunk going over speed bumps or through a small steering twitch as the suspension hits a bump/pothole while driving. Dealer quote to replace upper control arm was $4k.
The 2.9L V6 they switched to around 2020 or 2021 is the more reliable engine and fixed a front cover oil leak issue on the earlier Macans. The 2.9L uses a hot V setup for the twin turbos which puts turbo in the valley of the motor, freeing up space around the engine, making it easier for the mechanics to work on.
In 2019 they switched to a wider media screen in the center stack, and 2021 is the last year for the physical buttons on the center console. The media system is slow to start up at power on, and the CarPlay didn't fully expand across the entire screen on my Macan, maybe they changed that later.
OBD2 device like the one below is useful to replacing the battery yourself and reseting the system without going to the dealer, for putting the vehicle into service mode to work on the brakes, oil change reset, etc.
