My company recently made it hugely advantageous to move to an EV so I decided to bite. Sadly Acura killed the plan for a 2027 battery powered TLX so I went with a used Model S. I wish Tesla had the same quality interior and the Acura seats are more comfortable , but after 24hrs of FSD i don't think I could go back. Flame away

No flame here. I like the S. Only one I would get if getting an EV.

Fido, good luck, sir. I will only flame away as I am an unabashed petrol car guy. You may have paid more for that S model than I did for my Porsche.

For my wife, we went from an RDX to a Model Y and then back to an MDX. Acura seats are great, very comfortable. That said, there are a lot of things I miss about the Model Y. I like Tesla's.

My first thought when they announced the new car reimbursement was a Taycan or an E-Tron. Tesla is just so far ahead of the game with tech it more than makes up for lack of design. I'm not paying for the car so I'll actually pocket money with the Tesla. Our reimbursement was a break even on the Acura and would probably cost a little on a Porsche. The only way to come out ahead is a lower end car like a RAV4 or go electric. Our company is positioning itself to IPO so they are pushing electric very hard to improve ESG.

And the S didn't even get the good hardware b/c they were ending production.

For electric....you made the correct call. A bit of peripheral information. VW owns Porsche. The Porsche division is losing a ton of $. The Taycan satisfied the electric need initially. Then it became all vehicals but the 911. That strategy sucks for Porsche. Flat 6 Petrol engines and manual transaxles.

A lot of words to say... you made the correct decision.

Didn't realize this. Guess I can hold out for the mythical Tesla Roadster which will apparently have actual rocket thrusters.

Fido98. My carbon footprint is bigger than yours. My 1996 (model year 97) Land Cruiser gets a robust 12.7mpg. And I wouldn't have it any other way. More fossil fuels for the rest of us!
