My brother purchased this truck new in 2003. When he passed, I purchased it from his widow in 2023 with plans to keep it forever, but as my daily driver, I need something that rides smoother. The engine is the highly sought 5.9 Cummins that was discontinued in 2007.

The good:
It only has 200,338 miles (as of today). My brother only drove it 8000 mi/yr for 20 years!
New a/c in 2023
New U-joints, tie rods in 2023
New Dash 2023
Updated touchscreen infotainment, new speakers, and added 10 in sub.
Never in an accident or wrecked.

The bad:
It needs a paint job-the roof and hood are highly oxidized
Driver's side rear door window does not roll down
Driver seat only moves forward and back (not up and down)

Too bad it's not a standard. Those things are bringing 35k or more. KBB and other sites are all over the place on price. What say you board?

I paid 16,500 for it and dropped 7k to replace the a/c, dash, and replace the front end u-joints and tie rods.

I'm thinking I'd list it for 16,000. Thoughts?

How's the interior plastic on it?

Probably best to post a picture for a better idea.

New. I replaced the entire dash because it was cracked and falling apart.

2wd or 4wd? I always assume 2wd when it is not listed, but that probably has a bigger affect on price than bad paint at this year / mileage.

Ah, my brain put a comma between front end and u-joints that was not there and I didn't pick up that you replaced the u-joints in the front end which was the tip off it was 4wd.

Well, I'm going to bow out on helping you set a value, as I am not an expert, and I may be an interested buyer so it might be a conflict of interest. Where is the truck located, Austin?

Try plugging into givemethevin

They formerly had some strong diesel buyers not sure about now. I haven't researched but I'd imagine the market is a tad soft right now with the price per gallon of diesel.

If the truck is really clean and straight you might try painting the hood and roof and pushing for top dollar.

I think you'd get in the mid 20's or more if you fix the window & paint.

Diesel of Houston has a 2001 with 224k miles for $28k and it's all bro'd out. They've also got a near stock 2004 sport with manual & 118k miles for $38k

If I were in the market I'd pay more for a stock looking truck over a bro'd out one.

It's not for sale as of now. I was just trying to get an idea for listing price. Sorry for the confusion.
